South African Wall Relief Imagery
by Simon Gerrard

Wall painting Analysis # 5 ( 90 Degrees Vertical - Normal Contrast )

This represents, basically, the maternity sub-text to be found in any of these fantastical tableau of images in any submission to the magazine thus far. The tenor appears to be dedicated to either hierarchy over humans or reproductive process - ranging from in-vitrio ( Anu symbolism ) through to graphical portrayal of birth which seldom involves humanoid offspring yet requires humanoid female facilitation to this end. The green upper left image containing the brown entity ' emerging per birth ' seems to confirm my observations thus far. Indeed, the turquoise image just to the right of this describes a non-human entity holding a baby of some description. Whose, I wonder ? Another red Anu entity can be seen at the lower middle right of the relief looking to the left Note also the image of ' Osiris ' in blue This is very Egyptian-style, as well as being found in ancient S American imagery.

Wall Painting Analysis # 6 ( 90 Degrees Vertical - Reversed Contrast )

Another variation of the preceeding pictographs, but with interesting enhancements of the Anu images and Adamic visages - esp the one with the Babylonian-type beard in the centre in white outline. The Anu symbols are represented in turquoise outline and also red and yellow in the lower middle and right respectively. Adamic man looks on in yellow from the upper left. Here is a test of your interest and PC ability : can you see the other ( at least ) three faces ( not necessarily human ) in this image ? A tip : download the original header photo and reverse the bitmap contrast. All the perspectives are different, too. And this is the work of ancient human ' savages ' ? ! ( No racism implied ).
