Ancient Australian Imagery

Recalling my earlier comment about the covert nature of the ' real ' images intended to be offered to a viewer similarly briefed as the original artists, we must look elsewhere than the mystical and beautiful overt radiant ' sun ' image. Every image has a simple clue, or cypher, to commence with. For me, it is / was located on the right, and not without a little irony, considering the passage of time and myriad styles of written languages and symbols which could have been used.

Can you see the ' question mark ' : " ? " shape !

Let us admit this also bears a strong resemblance to an ear; and we need a pair of eyes next if anything is to come of this visual experiment . See the eye on the left of the ear ? It makes for a rather furtive and dour countenance to say the least ! Now you ought to be able to put the owner's head into perspective. On to the next bitmap.

Voila ! This bovine visage and strong muscular build also suggests the image of an Egyptian bull deity known as APIS. Then again it might be OSIRIS, too. Let us wait and gather further data from the other images to follow. A dog and a crocodile face look out at the bottom right.

Across to the left is one of the prominent female characters mentioned above. She appears to have a canine face and is nursing an infant with elongated skull features. Observe the high-backed chair and ever-present dog resting and looking in from the left. She is wearing a head-dress of sorts. The blue skull image with its elongated cranium is symbolic of the mature infant, and accords with the astonishing skulls found by Robert Connolly in his travelling research and which REALLY exist. I have annotated pictures of these accordingly, too. Alas, the posting is also strangely held up. When that other data is out, you will be looking at the REAL skull remains of one of the characters you are going to see later in this portfolio.

I kid you not.

From the base, then. Foetal images with the head of the man / bull earlier being utilised by the brown entity. The blue outline woman ' walking ' out of the picture towards you wears ancient pharonic-style head-dress, and is apparently pregnant. The upper right blue outline woman appears native-looking and of a servant disposition. The prehistoric birds above are suggestive of a winged variety of Draco which is not prominent in this context. Canine entites are, however as we will see later. A brown dog entity looks in from the left.

Perhaps the next sequence of the maternal sequence. A canine female entity seated and holding new-born creatures. Same style of head-dress worn. On occaision you can expect to see a humanoid infant being nursed as may be the case here, but it usually the offspring of the predominant species. The eyes are precise again, are they not ? The brown entity on the right is redolent of Osiris, due to the skull-cap feature and bovine face. Before leaving, what do you make of the yellow face staring out from behind the rays. Leprechaun, alien or canine?

The final and sinister portfolio of images extracted from this quartet of perspectives. Let us start at the top right with the ' super-human '. Its skull and musculature are very similar to humans, but highly developed. You can compare data with images published by Meisha Johnson at her site, and see very similar dark-skinned ' warriors ' comprising the overt images in the S African wall paintings published earlier in this magazine.

Looking at the bottom, there is the red outline of a face which is undoubtedly human. To repeat - the eyes have it ! This ' Dr Strangelove ' oversees the apparent disposal of a couple of Leprechauns into a brown skip. The simian entity in blue appears to be facilitating this, the precise process I cannot describe. The overall impression is ' waste disposal '.

Both look human and friendly. Shame we never got to meet them. Mr Peter Larsen's website has identified similar S America hat styles, too, but over in Giza !
